Join the global community of IB World Schools and elevate education at your school with our exclusive pilot project.

Since the International Baccalaureate (IB) first began teaching in Africa in 1977, the evergrowing community now encompasses 169 IB World Schools in 36 countries across the continent. Universities worldwide, especially in the UK and USA and an increasing number of universities in Africa, recognize the strength of the IB and hold official policies for admitting IB students to their courses.

Unique opportunity to join our pilot

For a limited time, primary and secondary schools in Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, Ghana, Rwanda, Senegal, Morocco, Tunisia and Democratic Republic of the Congo can participate in our unique pilot project for the globally recognized Primary Years Programme (PYP) and Middle Years Programme (MYP). The pilot offers approximately 50% discount on application, candidacy fee (phases 1+2) and associated onboarding Professional Development. Please note that the deadline for applications to become an IB World School is end of May 2026.

This is your chance to increase enrolment and distinguish your school through research-based teaching and learning. The IB is a trusted education partner to over 5,700 schools across 160 countries. We are here to take your school to the next level.

The Primary Years Programme (PYP) takes students aged 3 to 12 on an inquisitive learning journey that develops their whole being. It explores six themes of global significance, through six subject areas, so young students can build skills
and conceptual understanding in a curriculum that can be adapted to their needs
and culture. From age 7, students may also learn a second language.

The IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) nurtures and challenges
students aged 11 to 16 with a flexible framework that prepares
them for academic success and global leadership. MYP students
study up to eight subject groups with at least 50 hours of
instruction each, while learning at least two languages.
