The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a global leader in international education, dedicated to developing inquiring, knowledgeable, confident, and caring young people. Our programmes aim to empower school-aged students to take ownership of their learning and equip them with future-ready skills to thrive in a rapidly changing world.

Introduced in 1968, the IB Diploma Programme (DP) is designed for students aged 16 to 19. It offers a rigorous yet balanced education that facilitates geographical mobility by providing an internationally recognised university entrance qualification. It also serves the deeper purpose of promoting intercultural understanding and respect. In addition, the IB Career-related Programme (CP) incorporates exciting career-related skills and experiences into the learning journey.

This year, the IB University Fair 2026 JAPAN welcomes 34 universities from around the world. The event aims to encourage communication and strengthen connections among universities, students, parents and college counsellors with IB World Schools across the region.
